Lift-It is a commercial provider of rigging and sling equipment that also offers equipment handling training to its customers. The company’s online presence began as a simple catalog site. Blackbird Digital added an ecommerce component back in 2015.

THE CHALLENGE

A massive overhaul of the website began in 2022, which included expanding their product filtering and search capabilities. Major product imagery and presentation improvements were made to more clearly present the product details.

A more modern presentation with careful rework of the content architecture. The challenge being in redesigning the website without impacting their rankings for over 800 terms on Google.

THE RESULTS

Improved Buyers Journey & Increased Sales

Blackbird worked hand-in-hand with Lift-It to create custom graphics and titles for each unique product, created customized product pages based on the product’s individual options, further enhanced the checkout process with ‘quick add to cart’ options, and added a programmatic feed into Google Shopping which now has an inventory of over 13,000 and counting individual products. These efforts are now generating thousands of site impressions each month.

 

Blackbird Digital also developed an import process to quickly update product costs, from simple products to attribute combinations and variations, allowing Lift-It to maintain its catalog with up-to-date pricing with minimal hassle.

 

Each step of our work is coordinated with Lift-It’s third-party SEO company, which has taken our foundation and expanded upon it to lead to consistent e-commerce conversions.
